AB De Villiers and Morris shine as Proteas seal first win

Batting first, South Africa dropped Dale Steyn and enjoyed a good start provided by Quinton de Kock (45). In the middle of the order, Faf du Plessis (41) chipped in with runs too before AB de Villiers upped the ante by hitting 64 runs from 29 balls including dispatching one over for 29 runs. At the end, South Africa ended with 209 runs – yet another 200+ score. In reply, Shahzad gave the Afghans belief with 44 runs from 19 balls but no one really reciprocated the effort. Proteas seamers Morris, Abbott and Rabada did the job to keep Afghanistan and bay to win by 37 runs.
